How To Make Perfume From Incense
Did you know that you can make your own perfume using your favorite incense? Well, you can! Here you’ll learn how to make your own homemade perfume/ fragrant oil, it will smell exactly like the unburnt incense resin or stick.
There are two ways to do this. The Alcohol-based and the oil-based. For best results, you’ll need to store your perfume for up to 45 days.
We used Uunsi to make our perfume, you can use any kind of incense to make your perfume.
Alcohol-Based perfume:
Ingredients:
30 ml of Rubbing alcohol
3gr of ground Uunsi (or any kind of incense)
Closed jar
Cheesecloth or Coffee filter
Spray bottle
Instructions:
Grind your Uunsi or incense, and add Rubbing alcohol in a jar. Store at a warm place away from direct light for 45 days, check every now and then to shake the bottle. Test your perfume by applying a few drops on a piece of cloth, if you’re satisfied with it you can filter the incense off. Pour your perfume into an empty spray bottle for easier use.
Oil-Based Perfume:
Ingredients:
80 ml of Jojoba oil
4gr of ground Uunsi (or any kind of incense)
Closed jar
Cheesecloth or Coffee filter
perfume rollerball bottle
Instructions:
Grind your Uunsi or incense, and add Jojoba oil in a jar. Store at a somewhat warm place (like on the radiator) for 45 days, check every now and then to shake the bottle. Once you're satisfied with your fragrance oil, you can filter the incense off. Pour your fragrance oil into an empty perfume rollerball bottle for easier use.
You can also mix your oil-based perfume with your favorite unscented cream to create a perfumed body cream that you can layer with your alcohol-based incense perfume.
